Connecting McCutchanville with the Outdoors
We as a community have the opportunity to improve the quality of life in McCutchanville for generations to come. But we need your help.

Promoting the Health and Wellness of Northern Vanderburgh County
The Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation (EVSC) has agreed to sell approximately 60 acres of the former Eagle Valley Golf Course to the McCutchanville Community Association. With the appropriate funding, we can transform this area into a green space that serves the community’s recreational and educational needs, all within a short walk from home.
We have the opportunity to make a difference in our quality of life in McCutchanville. Together, we can make the McCutchanville Greenway Park and Nature Preserve a reality.
Community Green Space
Public parks foster physical activity, attract new residents and businesses, increase community engagement, improve public health, and so much more.
Safe, Scenic Pathways
Not only will miles of greenway encourage hiking, biking, and jogging, they will also connect the surrounding neighborhoods to local schools, ensuring safe routes for our children to travel to and from school.
Outdoor Learning Centers
The park’s proximity to McCutchanville Elementary provides a unique opportunity for teachers to incorporate outdoor, hands-on learning experiences into their curriculum.
Lush Native Landscapes
Native plants and trees promote environmental sustainability while supporting local biodiversity and wildlife.
Additional Athletic Fields
As the population of McCutchanville grows, so do the school sports’ teams and the need for athletic fields. We plan to develop two new soccer fields in the park that will be available for use by the schools and the community.
Vibrant Pollinator Gardens
Pollinator gardens provide shelter and food for bees, butterflies, and other essential insects that have been declining in population. These gardens contribute to the health of ecosystems and ensure the sustainability of our local food sources.
Dynamic Event Space
As the Woods Greenway Park and Nature Preserve grows, we hope to transform the former Eagle Valley clubhouse into an event hub for weddings, family reunions, and community celebrations.

Why It Matters
The Evansville area ranks below both the state and national average in statistics like obesity, premature death, and daily physical activity. The McCutchanville Greenway Park and Nature Preserve will combat these health challenges while also providing more recreational and educational opportunities for all ages in McCutchanville.
Our community deserves a safe, beautiful space where we can unwind and connect outside of work and home.
